You can hike to Yellowstone or stay closer to home on one of our many Forest Service trails closer to the house. If hiking isn't your bag, try horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting or even rock climbing. We have many local restaurants, shopping and bars, Fishing is abundant. We are down the road from the Historic town of Fishtail with the Cowboy Bar and the Fishtail Store. The larger town of Absarokee has bigger stores and some antique shops. Go a little farther to Red Lodge and the Gateway to the Beartooth Highway. Plan a day trip across the Beartooth, lunch in Cooke City. COme back via Chief Joseph Highway and have dinner in Red Lodge. The Montana Beatooth Cabin has just about something for everybody in the "Last Great Place".
